LAHORE (Dunya News) – The students of the Government Islamia School on Thursday have demonstrated a protest along with their parents for putting the school under the government s supervision while the police baton charged them in response to their protest.
According to the details, the young students demonstrated a protest at Bhati Chowk for putting the school under government s supervision while earlier the school was run by a trust. The police in order to control the situation, which did not seem to go out of control though, baton charged them for their protest.
A student has been injured by the police. The police made the father of the student write a statement that his son was injured after he fell from the rooftop and not by the baton charge.
The Inspector General (IG) has taken notice of the incident and ordered Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to submit a report regarding the matter. He said that they could not allow anybody to baton charge women and children.
Moreover, the Chief Minister (CM) has taken notice of the incident and ordered investigation into the matter. He has ordered Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Wing to submit a report on the matter. Moreover, the CM directed the authorities concerned to identify the people behind the incident.
