Court summons Imran Khan in defamation case by ex-CJP

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretariat on Wednesday has received the court order for appearance of PTI chairman Imran Khan before the court in the defamation case filed by the former chief justice (CJ) of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. Khan has been summoned to appear before court on January 29.

The court has summoned PTI chairman personally or through his lawyer to the court on January 29. The order states that if he fails to appear before the court then unilateral legal action would be taken against him. The court had sent the order to the PTI secretariat on the Embassy Road.

PTI chairman is in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah along with his wife. A team of experts will analyze the court orders and form a response strategy.
