KARACHI (Dunya News) – The government on Monday has banned pillion riding for at least three days in wake of the anti-polio drive.
According to the details, the action has been taken after unidentified culprits attacked the anti-polio team in Orangi Town earlier today. A police official was injured in the attack. The Additional Inspector General (IG) had requested the government to impose a ban on pillion riding in the city. Upon which the Interior Department Sindh imposed a ban starting from January 20 12am until January 22.
However, exceptions would be made in the ban for children, aged people and journalists.
