PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The case of death of three labourers during the anti-encroachment operation has been registered against Peshawar administrator including four other persons on Saturday whereas the traders would stage a protest in Ghanta Ghar area.

Chief Officer MC Saleem Khan, Riaz Awan and Shahid Iqbal were among the people nominated in the case.

Earlier on Friday, Municipal Corporation vehicle killed as many as three labourers during an anti-encroachment operation in the Ghanta Ghar area. The government employed driver of the vehicle absconded from the scene while shopkeepers demonstrated a protest.

According to the details, the staff of the Municipal Corporation was conducting an anti-encroachment operation in one of the busiest places of the city. The shopkeepers agitated in front of the crane to hamper the operation but the driver of the crane accelerated the vehicle towards the protesters crushing as many as three people.

The driver absconded from the scene; the shopkeepers protested and announced three-day mourning.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khatak took notice of the incident and formed an inquiry committee.
