LAHORE (Dunya News) – Convicted terrorist Akramul Haq also known with alias Akram Lahori was executed on early Saturday morning at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, Akramul Haq had opened fire at a religious gathering in the year 2001 which has resulted in killing of a civilian.
The special anti-terrorism court had sentenced Akramul Haq to death after finding him guilty in 2004.
Lahori was scheduled to be executed on January 8 but his execution was stayed after his family moved magistrate saying that the family of the victim had forgiven the convicted terrorist. However, the death sentence was again reinstated after the magistrate referred the matter to the anti-terrorism court.
