Summary Government should form a judicial commission as demanded by Imran Khan, says Aitzaz Ahsan

LAHORE (Dunya news) – Pakistan People s Party’s (PPP) member Chaudry Aitzaz Ahsan on Friday has said that PPP has decided to not support the government or Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as both accuse each other of wrong doings.

He expressed these views during an exclusive interview with Dunya news.

According to the details, a war of words ensued between PTIs chairman Imran Khan and the government regarding the General Elections 2013, with Khan accusing the government of rigging the elections. Aitzaz Ahsan on this occasion said that the government should form a judicial commission for the demands put forward by Khan. He said that whatever strategy PTI chairman announces on January 18, PPP would not support the government’s response or PTI’s actions. He also said that votes were cast after polling in NA-122. As many as 23,000 counter files do not have signatures which is a clear evidence of the rigging.

Ahsan said that all political parties have supported the establishment of military courts. Those parties which did not vote in favour of military courts had already accepted this action. In response to a question, Aitzaz Ahsan said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s government was responsible for the ongoing petroleum crisis. The government has failed to fulfill its promises which it made before the elections, he added.

Ahsan also strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous caricatures in French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
