LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has said that the decision regarding the establishment of the military courts was taken as the last step against terrorism.
According to a stement issued, he said that the country is in a state of war. He said that the government respects all the decisions of the judiciary. The establishment of military courts was done because the situation called for an unusual step to counter terrorism, he added. The PM said that the purpose of this step is to root out extremism and terrorism.
Earlier, the PM left for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.
