LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani bowler Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action on Wednesday has been declared right in an informal test in Britain.
According to the details, Ajmal had scheduled a private test before holding of his official test in which his bowling action has been recorded less than 15 degrees. Ajmal’s doosra also was recorded within 15 degrees.
Earlier, the umpires have reported his bowling action suspicious during the Pakistan-Sri Lanka test match in 2013. The ICC had sent Ajmal for a test to confirm the validity of the report upon which his bowling action was reported to be at least 40 degrees.
Ajmal has 178 wickets in test cricket, 183 in One Day International (ODI) while at least 85 in T20 cricket.
Ajmal’s official bio-mechanic bowling action test would be held in Chennai, India on January 24. If he fails to clear the test then ICC will form a bowling review group which will again recommend a bio-mechanic test to Ajmal.
