Summary Ayaz Sadiq is hiding behind a stay order for at least one and a half year, says PTI chairman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday has said that the interim government assisted the Returning Officers (ROs) in rigging in the General Elections 2013.

He expressed these views in a press conference.

He said that National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq is hiding behind a stay order for at least one and a half year. He posed a question asking how a corrupt person is making the assembly function?

Khan said that the ROs would tell the court if asked that who were the people behind rigging in the General Elections 2013. The interim government assisted the ROs in rigging. The report of the commission proves that rigging was done, he added. PTI chairman said that the investigations of the judicial commission would tell the people of the country that the government in power does not have the mandate. Who would catch the culprits who come in power through rigging? Khan asked.

He said that the votes of the constituency NA-124 were put in the constituency NA-122. Not one, not two constituencies but every constituency that is being opened to investigations is exposing the bogus government.

Khan said that he would announce the next strategy on January 18. However, he expressed a resolve to not hinder the process of counter-terrorism in the country. There is no purpose of holding elections in the present situation, he added.

Imran Khan said that he would hold another press conference to explain submission of electricity bills of his Bani Gala residence after announcing civil disobedience earlier during PTI’s sit-in.

While answering a question, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the PTI’s negotiations team has shown maximum flexibility with the government side and they could not show more flexibility in the matter.

Furthermore, Khan refused to accept that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif got at least 85 lac votes in the General Elections 2013 from Lahore. PTI would continue a protest drive until it gets justice, he added. He further asked Federal Minister for Information Pervez Rashid that how he got to know about the result of the report when the report has been issued todayby the commission?

Moreover, Khan demanded National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to submit his resignation.
