Summary Terrorism is an enemy of the Pakistani state and its Constitution, says Farooq Sattar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – During an address to the National Assembly, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar said that the credit for united stand against terrorism taken by everybody goes to MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He said that the situation would have been different if Hussain’s stance had earlier been taken seriously and that the tragic Peshawar incident could have been avoided if a national action plan was formulated.
According to the details, during an address to the National Assembly Sattar stressed that everybody should be on the same page for the fight against terrorism. He praised Altaf Hussain and said that he was responsible for uniting the whole nation against terrorism.
He further said that the MQM’s chief has persistently said this for the last at least ten years that this is their war. His statement regarding talibanisation in Karachi was ridiculed at first, adding that today every political party is in agreement that this is a common war of the people of the country.
Dr Sattar also stressed that the political leadership of the country should be on the same page for the complete elimination of terrorism.
He articulated that terrorism is an enemy of the Pakistani state and its Constitution. He further added that terrorists want to impose their ideology on the whole nation which would not be allowed.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has supported the establishment of the military courts while expressing a resolve to not let the anybody misuse these courts.
