LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Saturday has said that apex committees, comprising of army and political leadership have been formed in all the provinces for the implementation of the National Action Plan.
He expressed these views in a meeting of the Punjab Apex Committee which was held at the Corps Headquarters Lahore. Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif, Corps Commanders from all over Punjab and other provincial delegates attended the meeting.
General Sharif urged a better working equation among the law enforcement agencies for exchange of sensitive information. The COAS expressed a resolve to end terrorism and extremism in the country at any cost. Speaking on the occasion, General Sharif said that the key to success lies in whole hearted participation of all sections of the society.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), apex committees have been formed in four provinces. The COAS admired the political leadership of the country for their all-out efforts to eliminate terrorism.
General Raheel Sharif ensured the provincial government of immediate and strict action against the extremist forces.
