LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Thursday has disposed of the petitions of five convicts of both National Bank and former president Pervez Musharraf attacks.

Court had taken the decision to execute Adnan, Wajid Mahmood and Muhammad Afzal for planning out attack on Musharraf whereas the apex court had also decided to hang Ghulam Nabi and Abdul Maalik for National Bank attack case.

All the five convicts filed a petition in LHC against the death warrants issued by the court, which was later heard by a divisional bench headed by Justice Abdur Rehman Lodhi and Justice Qazi Amin.

The petitioners argued that no one has allowed them to appeal in the court and said that the court should halt the executions whereas Deputy Attorney General Faisal Rafique Malik stated that the applications against the execution process are being taken under consideration by Supreme Court (SC).

Moreover, LHC has dismissed the petitions by directing all the petitioners to contact SC.
