Summary They could not term the negotiations with government unsuccessful, says Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday has said that the party leadership would decide about the future of negotiations with the government and that they can not term the negotiations ‘unsuccessful’.
He expressed these views in a press conference in Islamabad.
Qureshi said that they are not against the establishment of army courts but are against their use for political revenge. While, PTI’s Asad Umer said that the increase in gas and electricity prices is unfair to the people of the country. Rigging in the General Elections 2013 is not just PTI’s matter of interest but of all the political parties and the countrymen, he added.
PTI vice chairman said that they have held as many as 21 meetings with the government’ team and have showed flexibility in certain matters but the government did not show seriousness regarding the matter. The government’s committee is continuing the talks but does not want to find common grounds, he added.
The PTI member said that the party leadership would decide about the future of the talks with the government if it continues the behaviour that it is exhibiting.
