ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Saturday has been presented the initial draft of the amendment in the constitution for the immediate trial of terrorists in the meeting chaired by the PM for implementation of the National Action Plan.
National Counter Terrorism Authority’s (NACTA) meeting has been called on December 31 (Wednesday).
Moreover, a committee has been formed by the government to end financial support to terrorists and for elimination of terror outfits. PM Nawaz said that the soldiers fighting terrorism on several warfronts would be provided with constitutional protection.
The meeting also reviewed the immediate implementation of the National Action Plan. The PM also stressed strong coordination between the law enforcement agencies. The provincial and federal governments should show excellent progress towards countering terrorism within a limited time frame.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning, Development and National Reforms Ahsan Iqbal, Barrister Zafarullah and Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt
