Summary Zardari will be staying in Nodero for two days
GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Friday paid a visit to the tombs of former prime minister (PM) late Benazir Bhutto and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) founding father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto while he will address a rally to be held in remembrance of Benazir’s seventh death anniversary.
He was along with his daughter Bakhtawar during the visit and he would be staying in Nodero for two days.
Zardari would address the participants of a rally at the seventh death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. It is happening for the first time that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not be participating in the death anniversary ceremony of late Benazir Bhutto.
In a statement, Zardari said that the death anniversary of Benazir has come this year right after the Peshawar attack that killed over 135 children and he remembers Benazir’s statement at this sad time that extremists are hell-bent on destroying the country. He salutes to the martyrs of the brutal Peshawar attack, he added. Zardari said that extremist organisations including Boko Haram, Daesh and all others want to end democracy.
The former president admired the struggles of the people who stood-up against dictatorship and were hanged for their cause.
