ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has cancelled all other engagements today (Tuesday) and he will spend the entire day by focussing on matters pertaining to the national security, the Radio Pakistan reported.
The Prime Minister is expected to hold consultations with the military leadership, senior advisors and legal team on security matters.
Earlier on Monday, he chaired a meeting in Islamabad to review national counter terrorism plan.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Lt. Gen (retd) Abdul Quadir Baloch, Special Assistants to PM Khawaja Zaheer Ahmed, Barrister Zafarullah and the Attorney General attended the meeting.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister stated that one anti-terrorism operation (Zarb-e-Azb) is underway in the tribal areas while the other would be launched against the enemy who is hidden in our cities and villages.
He said that decisive action would be taken against the terrorists who spilled the blood of innocent people.
The government would not differentiate between the terrorists and those protecting them, he added.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said "terrorism and sectarianism is like a cancer for Pakistan and now is high time we get rid of this menace."
