Summary The government's counsel could not satisfy the court over the matter
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The reviewing board of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has rejected the plea of the government to extend detention of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi leader Malik Ishaq.
According to the details, the three-member reviewing board headed by Justice Manzoor Malik started the hearing and Ishaq was presented before the court under strict security.
The government made a plea to the court to extend the detention of Ishaq as this is not the right time for his release after the Peshawar massacre and it could trigger more stress afterwards.
However, the government’s counsel could not satisfy the court over the matter upon which the government’s plea was rejected by the panel.
