Summary PTI chief Imran Khan has announced to attend APC convened by PM Nawaz Sharif.
PESHAWAR (Online) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said he will attend the meeting of the political leadership of the country convened by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the backdrop of Peshawar school terrorist attack in which 141 people were martyred, 132 of them children.
“We stand together in this national tragedy,” Imran Khan said. Imran Khan underscored the need for national unity to confront the perpetrators of inhuman acts.
He urged the Federal and provincial governments as well as Army to come to the same page for elimination of terrorists.
Imran Khan condemned the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) that claimed the responsibility for the attack in Peshawar. He said funeral prayers in absentia will be performed for the martyrs here at Azadi Chowk at 6:30 PM Wednesday.
PTI had already announced its decision to postpone its nationwide strike called for December 18 following today’s attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar. The PTI media cell said a new date for the nationwide strike will be announced later.
