ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Attorney General’s office has submitted Law Ministry’s reply in the Supreme Court of Pakistan today (Thursday) over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) petition regarding recount and verification of votes in the four constituencies, Dunya News reported.

The Law Ministry in its reply has stated that PTI’s plea seeking recount and vote verification in the four constituencies in non-hearable. Cases of NA-110, 122, 125 and 154 are being heard by the election tribunals.

Under Article 225, petitions regarding elections can only be heard by the election tribunals, thus, the apex court cannot be approached for this purpose.

The Ministry further told court that vague allegations of rigging in 2013 general elections have been leveled in the plea while the opposition party does not have any solid evidence.
