Summary Our only crime is that we are trying to seek justice, the PTI chief said.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Giving his remarks over chaotic situation in Faisalabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said that it is responsibility of the state to provide security to ‘peaceful protestors.’

Talking to media in Islamabad before leaving for Faisalabad, the PTI chief said his party did not force locals to shut their shops.

“We only appealed to people to voluntarily close their shops,” he added.

Imran Khan said the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz`s (PML-N) `Gullus` have pelted stones, eggs and baton-charged PTI workers in Faisalabad.

He said it was a pre-planned attack. It is not happening for the first time.
“They killed people in Model Town. Our container was attacked in Gujranwala. In Jhelum, PML-N workers opened fire on peaceful marchers,” he said.
He said that PTI workers’ only crime is that they are struggling to get justice.

“We just want accountability of rigging in 2013 general election and formation of a judicial commission to probe it,” the PTI chief said.

I was not ending sit-in because I knew the incumbent rulers would backtrack from their promises, he said.

Imran said Instead of addressing party`s justified demands, the government is using force against PTI workers. It is police responsibility to ensure law and order but they are acting like cowards.

He wanred that if the government treats PTI workers like this during Lahore protest, everyone will see what would happen then.
