ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan will take oath as Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan today (Saturday).
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Naisrul Mulk will administrate oath to the newly-appointed CEC.
Justice (retd) Sardar Raza has been appointed CEC for a five-year term. The oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Supreme Court of Pakistan at 1:00pm.
Earlier on Friday, Justice Sardar Raza resigned from the post of Chief justice (CJ) of the Federal Shariat Court to assume charge of the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan.
