Summary Pakistan stands on 126th position with 29 points in Transparency International report.

NEW YORK (Web Desk/AFP) – Pakistan has been ranked up to 126th position by getting 29 points in a report issued on Wednesday by Transparency International (TI).

This index had been scored on the basis of corruption, misuse of power, hidden transaction and bribery from zero, which is highly corrupt, to 100, which is very clean.

According to details, a decline has been observed in the rate of corruption in Pakistan as it has been listed at 126th position in an index of 175 countries.

On the other hand, India has got 38 points and has been given 85th position whereas Afghanistan was taken as a worst country of South Asia with having 12 points and 172th position.

Moreover, Denmark stood at the top position, New Zealand at second and Finland at the third position, respectively.

The following is a list of the top- and bottom-ranked 10 nations -- plus 10 big economies in the mid-range -- on graft watchdog Transparency International s 2014 Corruption Perceptions Index, released Wednesday.
