Summary We were not able to utilize our GSP Plus status due to energy crises: Ch. Muhammad Sarwar
LAHORE (Dunya News) Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar said that an increase in textile export to European Union was expected this year but we could not get better results due to energy crises. He was addressing the 5th International Foundry Conference.
He pointed out that Bangladesh’s exports reached 25 billion dollars from 5 million, after getting GSP Status but Pakistan is far behind that point.
“We have so much talent in Pakistan and if government and private sector start working in co-operation, we can achieve our goals,” he added.
Governor Punjab inaugurated the Foundry exhibition afterwards.
