ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave to attend a two-day London Conference on Afghanistan that would commence in London on Wednesday.
British Primier David Cameron called PM on October 28 and invited to participate in the conference this year. The conference is to be co-hosted by the UK and Afghan governments.
President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah would represent Afghanistan at the conference.
Prime Minister Nawaz would also hold bilateral discussions with the British leadership in addition to meeting with World Bank officials.
PM Cameron would host a breakfast meeting which would be attended by the Pm and Afghan leadership.
A bilateral meeting with John Kerry, United States Secretary of State has also been scheduled.
The Prime Minister’s participation in the London Conference would reflect the importance that Pakistan attaches to international efforts for peace, stability and economic development in Afghanistan.
