SAARC summit begins today, PM Nawaz to represent Pakistan

Summary PM Nawaz would also meet other representatives to discuss peace and bilateral relations.

KATHMANDU (Dunya News) - The 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Conference begins today (Wednesday) in Kathmandu capital of Nepal.

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will represent Pakistan at the summit.

Delegates of different countries including their high officials and ministers have reached the venue. These included Presidents of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Prime Ministers of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal.

According to details, the themes selected for this year’s summit is ‘Deeper Integration for Peace and Prosperity’.

However, PM Nawaz will also manage to meet other representatives of SAARC conference to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional peace.
