KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Four of the four former chief ministers of Sindh have joined hands along with various other parties to form a political alliance. The alliance has created some stir in the provincial politics as bigwigs like Syed Ghaus Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N),  Sadaruddin Rashidi of Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F), Liaquat Jatoi and Arbab Ghulam Rahim have formed this alliance, Dunya News reported.

A meeting was held on Monday at former CM Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim’s residence in which President PML-F Sindh Sadaruddin Rashidi was also present.

Holding a press conference after the meeting, former chief minister Liaquat Jatoi said that corruption was at its peak in Sindh. He said that he intended to unite all the political parties of Sindh.

Disgruntled PML-N leader Ghaus Ali Shah said that the PML-N kept quiet on Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) rigging in Sindh and thus helped PPP.

PML-F leader Sadaruddin Rashidi said that he was trying to bring the Muslim League leaders back into politics.

All the leaders said that unity was important for saving Sindh as PPP government was involved in corruption.
