GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) workers in Gujranwala are all set to welcome Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan with eggs, tomatoes and shoes, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, PML-N’s local workers led by Aamir Butt have gathered eggs, tomatoes and shoes to throw at Imran Khan upon his arrival in Gujranwala.
The eggs and tomatoes have slogans ‘Ro Imran Ro’, literally, ‘Cry Imran Cry’.
PML-N workers openly proclaimed to stage unpleasant welcome for the PTI’s convoy in Gujranwala.
Reportedly, the police have not done anything yet to avert a possible collision between PML-N and PTI workers and supporters.
Talking exclusively to Dunya News, PTI central spokesperson Shireen Mazari said that PML-N workers’ attitude represents the general mindsets of the ruling party. She said PML-N workers are wasting good quality tomatoes and eggs which should instead be donated to those who can’t afford it.
PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PTI can’t be stopped by bullets, eggs, tomatoes and even shoes.
