Summary PLM-Q has started a series of rallies from the Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Saturday has said that the sit-ins have created awareness in the people of the country and that party workers should start preparing for the local body elections.
He expressed these views while addressing the participants of PML-Q rally in Bahawalpur.
He said that a political party may form government on basis of rigging but would not be able to maintain it.
PLM-Q has started a series of rallies from the Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur.
A large number of party supporters were present in the rally along with senior members of the party.
On the occasion, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that the people of Bahawalpur have been deceived a number of times by being told that their city is going to become a province.
He also urged the party workers to prepare for the local body elections. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has created awareness in the people through demonstrating protests against the government.
Pervez Elahi said that they did not make fake promises but performed in the best interest of the people during their tenure.
He challenged the government saying that to see who has done better work for the people and the country by comparing PML-N’s ten years and PML-Q’s only five years of being in power.
Elahi also said that the country is being ruled by one family while the its people are mourning due rising issues in the country.
He said that the formation of Kalabagh Dam is in high interest of Cholistan and that if they had issue over its name then it could also be changed to ‘Pakistan Dam’.
Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Majlis Wahdat Mulimeen’s (MWM) Nasir Sherazi and other leaders of PML-Q addressed the participants of the rally.
