LAHORE (Dunya News) – Addressing a public gathering on Saturday, Chief of Jamat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq vowed to bridge the gap between poor and rich by giving them Islamic teachings.

Following the second day of Ijtema at Minar-e-Pakistan, Siraj-ul-Haq lauded the presence of minorities and welcomed them to be a part of revolution.

He further claimed that system has been ruined due to the VIP culture; therefore, there is a need to stand for your country . He added that JI will continue to talk for Islam, justice and Islamic system.

Early this morning, Ameer JI Hind Maulana Jalaluddin Umeri commenced a lecture on Hadith on the second day of the congregation.

Breakfast was followed by a lecture on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s diction and demeanor by Hafiz Idrees.

Secretary General JI Liaqat Baloch presented the history and yearly report of Jamat-e-Islami.

In the second session of the day, leaders of JI under the headship of former JI Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan would deliver their speeches.

Highlight of the day would be JI International Women’s Conference expected to commence from 2 pm to 5 pm. Central leader of women’s wing would address the participants.

JI Ameer Sirajul Haq would hold a special address for the women’s convention.
