ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A Special court in Islamabad will give its verdict today regarding the dismissal of high treason case against former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf about the 3 November 2007 emergency.
Earlier, a three-member bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab had reserved the verdict on the October 31 hearing.
On October 31, Musharraf’s counsel Barrister Farogh Naseem had said that all the lawmakers who agreed with the former president to abrogate the constitution on Nov 3 2007 and declare emergency should also be tried.
Upon which the court had reserved its verdict until today (November 22).
This high treason case against Musharraf was registered in December last year under Article 6.
On 31 March this year, indictment was also imposed on Musharraf.
The charges on the indictment include high treason.
