ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that he doesn’t need Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s certificate to hold a peaceful rally in Islamabad. He asked Chaudhry Nisar to tell what their ‘democratic right’ is, Dunya News reported.

Addressing the ‘sit-in’ participants in Islamabad, Khan said that PTI will confront the government if latter decided to put obstacles in the way of PTI’s planned rally.

He said PTI will hold the rally next week if the permission is not granted.

PTI chairman said that they didn’t get ‘justice’ despite trying for over 1.5 years. He said that the people will not be able to hold on to anything for the next five years if they don’t take to the streets now.

He said that the sit-in protests did not affect the incoming investment in the country, adding that the country is being taken aback due to the corruption. He said it is his democratic right to raise questions about the alleged corruption.


Govt might complete 1 more year but  new Pakistan  is not far: Imran Khan


Imran Khan earlier said that the government might complete another year but the ‘new Pakistan’ is not too far.

Addressing a meeting of PTI Punjab’s lawmakers and office bearers, Khan said that the people are fed up of the ‘old system’ and ‘old faces’ adding that PTI is taking to streets on November 30 for the sake of the country.

He said the people who are tired of the current system are looking at the PTI for a ‘change’. He said the amount of donations PTI has received assures him that the ‘change’ has already come.

A meeting of PTI Punjab’s lawmakers and office bearers took place under headship of Imran Khan on Wednesday. The preparations and strategies were finalized in the meeting.

Addressing the gathering, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that everyone is invited to participate in PTI’s rally scheduled for November 30, adding that all of the government’s tricks to fail the plan will be foiled.

The party leadership also assigned various responsibilities to the office bearers.
