LAHORE (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq on Wednesday asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to announce the judicial commission to probe the alleged rigging in general elections in 2013. He said changing the government is possible through the constitutional way only, Dunya News reported.

Jamaat chief reiterated that Jamaat will present ‘common man’s agenda’ at Minar-e-Pakistan on November 21.

Addressing lawyers at Shuhada Hall upon Lahore High Court Bar Association’s invitation, Jamaat chief said that the purpose of his ‘jirga’ was to convince the involved parties to negotiate in which, he said, he succeeded.

He said changing the government is only possible through the constitutional way, adding that he supports the demand of electoral reforms and reformation of Election Commission.

Jamaat chief alleged that the government is avoiding the issue of Christian couple’s murder in Kot Radha Kishan over alleged blasphemy.
