Summary Local body system is the ultimate way to end feudatory system across the globe, says MQM chief
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the local body system is the ultimate recipe to end feudatory system across the globe. “Wherever local body system was introduced in the world, feudatory system got eliminated”, said Altaf. “Why those who cry for democracy, don’t conduct local body elections?” questioned MQM chief. He said that more provinces will guarantee more development, security, safety and justice.
Addressing the General Workers Convention in Lal Quila Ground, Karachi, organized by Punjabi-Seraiki Organizing Committee on Sunday, Altaf Hussain said that MQM raised voice for the rights of Punjabis and Seraikis. He said that hatred for MQM was injected into the hearts of Punjabis, Seraikis and other communities through conspiracies but these conspiracies failed later on.
“Though it is said that Sindhi and Urdu speaking people living in Sindh are brothers to each other but never has a Urdu speaking person been made Sindh’s chief minister”, said MQM chief. He said that there should be 20 provinces in Pakistan considering the population of the country.
He asked why local body system didn’t get implemented in Pakistan. He said that local body system ends the feudatory system automatically. Challenging the feudal lords and capitalists, Altaf Hussain warned that the poor’s revolution is about to come. He said that the ministers in Sindh are enjoying their lives while the people of Thar are suffering from famine. “Kids are dying due to diseases, where is the government?” questioned MQM chief.
Altaf Hussain directed Rabita Committee to announce a public gathering of Punjabi and Seraiki people soon in Jinnah Ground, Karachi.
