Summary Electricity supply of the CDA has been cut off due to non-payment of electricity bill, he said

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali has said that electricity supplying companies have joined hands with the Ministry of Water and Power to use modern technology for metre reading and distribution of electricity bills to the customers.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA expressed these views in a press conference on Saturday.

He said that to minimise electricity theft, surveys would be organised on Union Council level with help of external auditors. He further said that customers would be allowed to pay their bills in three installments and that survey report would be submitted to the National Assembly. He also said that electricity supply of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been cut off due to non-payment of due bill.

Ali said that Sindh government owed pending bills worth 56 billion; Azad kashmir 37 billion and Balochistan government owed 70 billion. He said that gas power plants would be established, producing 1500MW to 2000MW within two to three months.
