Summary Had rupee not lost its value due to sit-ins, prices would have been brought further down, says Asif
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit-ins held us from bringing the petroleum prices further down. Asif said that prices would have been decreased by Rs. 20 if the rupee hadn’t lost its value due to the sit-ins in Islamabad.
Responding to Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s criticism today (Friday) during his speech at the sit-in, Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan should start from his own institution when he talks about the assets abroad.
Khawaja Asif tweeted that Imran Khan should first scrutinize the speculative investments made by his charity organization Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. Asif also demanded Imran Khan to demonstrate transparency by expediting his libel allegations against Asif.
