Summary Government has reduced prices of petroleum products by up to Rs14 per litre.

KARACHI (WEB DESK) - Karachi Transporters Association has refused to reduce fares despite massive reduction in prices of petroleum products on Friday.

Talking to Dunya News, President of Karachi Transport Association Irshad Bukhar said that transporters had reduced fares in 2011 but it is not possible now.

He said rates will be changed once petrol prices decline further.

On the other hand, Goods Transporters President Khalid Khan announced 5% reduction in transporation fares.

He also appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s move to reduce the POL prices.

Earlier today, the government announced reduction in petrol price by Rs9.43, diesel Rs6.18, kerosene oil Rs8.16 and high-octane by Rs14.68 per litre.
