LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) has decided to take its battle against the government to the ground. It has announced to hold public gatherings and rallies in all the major cities of Pakistan and the first gathering will be held in Bahawalpur before Muharram. After Muharram, PML-Q will hold gatherings every week in various cities of Punjab. A three-member committee under the headship of PML-Q leader Chaudhry Moonis Elahi has been given the task to organize the public meetings.

On the other hand PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri in Lahore and discussed sit-ins and local bodies’ elections with him.

Talking to media, former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that there are no differences between the leaderships of PAT and PML-Q. Criticizing Punjab government, Pervaiz Elahi challenged CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to a one-on-one debate.

Responding to Pervaiz Elahi’s challenge, Punjab government spokesperson Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that Pervaiz Elahi’s challenge is like showing lamp to the sun. He said that the people haven’t yet forgotten Pervaiz Elahi’s corruption-tainted era.
