Summary Former District President Zafar Khattak was bashed and kept under arrest for one night

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Peshawar police bashed the former district president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Zafar Khattak and kept him under arrest for entire night. Zafar Khattak was not even allowed to inform his relatives about his arrest by the police. Relatives kept looking for him in hospitals and Edhi centers but Zafar was nowhere to be found.

It was in the morning that the relatives finally got to Hasht Nagar Police Station where Zafar was held hostage by the police. On receiving the information, other PTI members also arrived at the police station but they found themselves helpless before the police. On protest by the local residents outside the police station, finally police set Zafar free.
