Ghazi murder case: Court summons Musharraf on Nov 8

Summary The court has adjourned hearing of Ghazi murder case till November 8.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Additional Session Judge Wajid Ali on Tuesday rejected former president Pervez Musharraf’s plea for exemption from appearance in court in a case related to the death of a cleric of the Lal Masjid during a 2007 military operation.

During case proceedings, defence counsel Akhtar Shah presented his Musharraf’s medical report in court. He prayed to court that doctors have advised the former president not to travel.

He also told court that there is threat to Musharraf’s life and a letter for security has also been forwarded to the Inspector General of Islamabad police.

Akhtar Shah requested court to grant one day exemption to his client from appearing before the court.

Meanwhile, the court rejected his plea and ordered Pervez Musharraf to appear in next hearing on November 8.
