KARACHI (Web Desk) – A passer-by was shot dead and five others injured when police and robbers exchanged fire in the troubled metropolis last night, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

As per details, robbers clashed with police near Five Star Chowrangi. Resultantly, one robber was killed and two others were arrested.

According to witnesses, a passer-by identified as Asad was also killed in police shooting. Five civilians were also injured who have been shifted to nearby hospitals.

Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased bliocked main road and protested against police. The protestors demanded action against those involved in Asad’s killing.

Later, Superintendent Police (SP) Gulberg Chaudhry Asad suspended SHO of North Nazimabad area and order investigation into the incident.

The SP stated that stern action will be taken if any police official found guilty.

On the other hand, Rangers have arrested fourteen suspected criminals during raid in Patel Para area.
