QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Saturday said that the midterm election can only take place if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns, adding that no one can force the Prime Minister to resign, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a press conference, Shah said that his statements about the midterm elections were presented after twisting and that he doesn’t base his statements on lies.
He said that there’s no constitutional room for midterm election. He said the election can only take place if Prime Minister resigns by his own will.
Opposition leader said that if the series of forming and toppling the governments through sit-ins began then Pakistan’s circumstances would turn worse than that of Afghanistan and the country will be off to the path of destruction.
