MULTAN (Dunya News) – The students of Nishtar Medical College on Friday surrounded former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) president Javed Hashmi and started chanted ‘go Nawaz go’ and ‘daghi…daghi’, literally ‘strained/scarred’ slogans, Dunya News reported.

Javed Hashmi had to get himself out by promising the protesters not to join Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) party.

According to the details, Hashmi had arrived at the mosque of Nishtar Hospital for a funeral prayer when the students stopped and surrounded him. The angry students complained Hashmi that he will join PML-N after winning the election, upon which Hashmi promised he will not join PML-N party. He promised he will continue as an independent member of the National Assembly.

This is the fourth incident of its kind amid Hashmi’s campaign.
