Summary Altaf said that Rangers arrested many MQM workers in Karachi, of which 41 are still missing.

LONDON (Dunya News)— Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has posed fourteen questions to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday, Dunya News reported. He has questioned that why only MQM workers are being targeted.

Addressing Chief of Army Staff, Hussain remarked that Raheel Sharif has been bestowed with the country’s most prestigious position and that army is the symbol of national unity.

He argued that many MQM workers have been arrested during the Karachi operation and 41 workers of them are still missing.

Disappointed at the arrest of his party workers, he raised a question that why are the rangers only targeting MQM workers and raiding their houses and offices?

He contended that why were his brother and nephew gunned down in Karachi. Moreover, he also interrogated about the suspects who were involved in the killings of MQM workers, asking that how many of them have been punished yet?

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged sit-in outside CM House early Thursday morning to protest against what it described as unlawful arrest of party workers.

On Wednesday night, Rangers arrested over 30 MQM workers during raid at sector office in Scheme-33 of Gulshan-e-Maymar area where the meeting of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation was underway.

Later, MQM parliamentarians, ministers, members of coordination committee and other workers staged sit-in outside the Chief Minister House.

On the occasion, Altaf Hussain while addressing the protestors stated that more than five thousands raids have been conducted at MQM offices and houses of party workers on the basis of false allegations.

He said that massive protests against hatred and oppressive attitude towards Mohajirs would be held in Karachi.
