Summary Imran Khan writes letter to Speaker, asks him to de-seat PTI MNAs who didn't tender resignations

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNAs did not show up at National Assembly Speaker’s chamber on Friday to confirm their resignations, Dunya News reported. According to Speaker Office, 3 PTI MNAs including Arif Alvi, Shireen Mazari and Munazza Hassan were directed by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to show up at Speaker Office on September 26 to validate their resignations but none of them appeared at the office.

According to Speaker Office, suspended PTI President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has stated it on floor of the house that the resignations were taken forcefully.

It further said the speaker is obligatory under Article 43 to affirm that the resignations are given willfully and are bona fide.

The schedule for calling upon rest of the PTI members would be given on Monday whereas Imran Khan has already been summoned on October 13.

On the other hand, Chairman PTI Imran Khan has written letter to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, asking him to de-seat the PTI MNAs who have not tendered their resignations as yet. The MNAs who had not tendered their resignations on Imran Khan’s directions included Nasir Khattak, Gulzar Khan and Musarrat Zeb. 18th amendment empowers the elected head of a party to demand resignation from any party MNA.
