ISLAMABAD(Dunya News) – A democratic Pakistan is soon to be actualized, Imran Khan said in a statement at the Islamabad sit-in, while addressing the protestors, adding that the people do not even have the slightest idea of how big a change is coming to this nation. He added that Pakistan has gone through a transformational change, because the nation has come to realize its own fundamental human rights, and no one could enslave this nation anymore.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan claimed that he had not joined politics for personal gain because he already had everything in the world, and the prime reason to enter politics was for the betterment of the people of Pakistan. He added that he had entered politics because these co-conspiring political parties exploited the nation by taking turns in ruling the country through reciprocal deals.

Khan blamed the present Prime Minister(PM) Nawaz Sharif , accusing the PM of backstabbing him during the previous elections, adding that Sharif had participated in the elections after tricking Khan into calling a boycott of the elections, during Musharraf’s regime. Khan clarified his stance by justifying that he had supported Musharraf’s regime only because the latter had committed to end corruption from Pakistan.

Khan alleged that the Chiniot Bridge had been constructed with the tax payer’s money amounting to Rs. 220 million, which benefitted the Ramzan Sugar Mill, and had originally been reserved for the State’s Health Department. He also alleged that the PM’s annual foreign trips amounted to Rs. 1.5 billion, and PM’s private expenses were paid from public’s usurped tax money. He further added that the PM’s Raiwind palace’s security detail by the state police cost the national exchequer a hefty amount of Rs. 400 million.

PTI chief implied at the formation of a ‘Naya Pakistan’ role model in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, under the provincial government, which would incorporate the Local Government system of governance. This sort of a local body system would delegate power to the lowest level, the common man would immensely benefit from it, and this would change the destiny of Pakistan, he added.

While commenting on the progress of KP, Khan said that a uniform education system and syllabus has been established throughout the province, where the medium was necessarily English for all public schools.

PTI chairman announced his ‘historic’ Karachi jalsa, while calling on the people of the metropolitan city to be prepared for his arrival, and pledged that he would return to the Islamabad sit-in, immediately after addressing the crowds in Karachi.
