Summary Govt might be shying away from the Kashmir issue owing to friendship with India, he feared.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said on Saturday that the friendship with India is unacceptable without resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He demanded the government to clear its policy regarding the Indian occupied Kashmir, Dunya News reported.

After meeting representatives of the Huriat Conference, Sirajul haq said while addressing a news conference that the Indian held Kashmir is suffering from the worst flood of the history that has affected fifty five lakh people.

He said it is a point of regret that the Pakistani government hasn’t said a word in the assembly about the floods in the occupied Kashmir.

He feared that the government might be shying away of the issue owing to the friendship efforts with India.

Sirajul Haq demanded the issue be brought up in Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and United Nations (UN). He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should talk on Kashmir issue in UN General Assembly by representing the wishes of 18 crore Pakistanis.
