RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Rescue operation conducted by the Pakistan Army in the flood-hit areas is continued. 4000 people have been transferred to safe heavens whereas 35 ton food items have been distributed among the affectees.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), 7 helicopters and 100 boats are engaged in Chiniot, Ahmadpur Sial, Pir kot and Athara Hazari. Four thousand army men have been deployed at Punjnad Headworks.
The army is efficiently offering assistance in Mangla Kor whereas the rescue teams of Pakistan Navy are serving in Moza Suleman, Rehman Colony, Peepal Wala and Haweli Mubarak Shah.
Aid is also being distributed at the relief camps set in Bahawalpur.
