KARACHI (Dunya News)— A policeman was killed on Sunday when some unknown assailants opened fire on a shop in the Lee Market of Karachi, Dunya News reported. The policeman who identified as Hatam Mari was critically injured and succumbed to injures immediately. His dead body has been shifted to the Civil Hospital in Karachi for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, a dead body has been recovered from Orangi Town sector 11.5 in Karachi. According to police, the man was killed in a firing incident. His dead body has been shifted to Abbasi Shaeed Hospital for post-mortem. Concurrently, in a separate firing incident in Gulistan Jauhar area of Karachi, two men have been injured critically injured and shifted to a private hospital.
Earlier, the son of renowned religious scholar Allama Abbas Kumaili was gunned down on Saturday at Azizabad area of Karachi. According to the reports, the roads from Numaish Chowrangi and Boltan Market have been closed with the help of container blockades for security purposes. Akbar received at least three bullets and succumbed to injuries at Ziauddin Hospital.
The Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad took notice of the incident and ordered Inspector General (IG) Sindh to investigate and arrest the culprits.
