ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said that PTI wants to step ahead with negotiations in a positive manner, adding that PTI will meet Chinese ambassador to convince China not to postpone presidential visit, Dunya News reported.
Addressing media after the dialogue meeting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that PTI has requested to meet the Chinese Ambassador, adding that PTI will do all in its power to get China not to postpone the visit.
“Our hearts are open, will open pathways for the Chinese president”, he said.
He said that the negotiations are advancing positively and that both the government and PTI committee will meet again tomorrow (Saturday).
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar said that the talks will resume again tomorrow in a bid to resolve the issue.
Dar said that the country is facing loss of billions of dollars because of the sit-in protests. He said that the government is getting the signals that the Chinese President’s visit to Pakistan will be delayed.
Earlier, the government handed the response to PTI’s demands to the PTI committee, reiterating that the demand of Prime Minister’s resignation is unconstitutional.
