ISLAMABAD (Online) - A joint session of the Parliament has been summoned to meet today (Tuesday) at the Parliament House building at 11:00am.
The President summoned the joint session in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of Pakistan. The National Assembly secretariat has issued a notification after securing approval from President Mamnoon Hussain.
The joint session is scheduled to discuss the prevailing political crisis and will give suggestions to end the deadlock. The session is also expected to adopt a joint resolution for upholding supremacy of the Constitution.
